Warangal, August 05,2024:The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Networks) at Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science (KITS) Warangal has launched a two-week Faculty Development Program (FDP) titled "Innovative Insights: Professional Development for Software Reasoning." This event, running from August 5 to August 14, 2024, is organized in collaboration with the E & ICT Academy at NIT Warangal and is being held at the Block-7 of the KITS campus.


During the inaugural ceremony, Prof. Durga Prasad Mahapatra from the Department of CSE at NIT Rourkela addressed the gathering as the chief guest and keynote speaker. He emphasized the FDP's focus on advancing knowledge in software development, covering topics like software reasoning advancements, defect prediction using machine learning, cloud testing, and graph-based analysis.


Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao, former Rajya Sabha Member and Chairman of KITSW, along with Treasurer  P. Narayana Reddy and Vodithala Sateesh Kumar, former MLA and Additional Secretary at KITSW, congratulated the Department of CSN and Dr. V. Chandra Shekhar Rao, Associate Professor, for organizing this program. Their support highlights the importance of keeping up-to-date with advanced technologies.


KITSW Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy delivered the presidential remarks, underlining the FDP's role in equipping participants with essential tools and techniques to enhance their skills in software reasoning and computer technologies. He encouraged participants to apply their learnings and transform them into Teaching Learning Processes (TLP) that benefit the student community.


The event saw participation from deans, faculty coordinators, including Dr. V. Chandra Shekhar Rao and Dr. Sangharatna from NIT Warangal, and other faculty members like Prof. V. Shankar, Dr. S. Venkatramulu, Dr. V. Swathy, and Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary. A total of 50 engineering faculty members and staff attended the opening session.
