KITS Warangal Hosts Successful Internal Hackathon for Smart India Hackathon 2024


The Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science, Warangal (KITSW), successfully conducted its internal hackathon for the Smart India Hackathon 2024 on August 31, 2024. Organized by the Centre for Innovation, Incubation, Research, and Entrepreneurship (C-i²RE) in collaboration with the Department of Information Technology, the event saw participation from over 74 teams, all eager to present their ideas for the national competition.


The Principal of KITSW, Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy, highlighted the enthusiastic participation, stating that the event provided students with a platform to showcase their innovative ideas at a national level. 



Former Rajya Sabha MP and KITSW Chairman, Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao, along with Treasurer, Sri P. Narayana Reddy, and former Husnabad MLA & KITSW Additional Secretary, Shri Vodithala Sateesh Kumar, praised the organizing team and the student participants for the successful execution of the event.


Dr. T. Senthil Murugan, Head of the IT Department, emphasized the importance of creative problem-solving and noted that the hackathon offered students a valuable opportunity to transform their technical skills into practical solutions, setting the stage for their upcoming participation in the national competition.



The event featured presentations from students on various themes, reviewed by expert panels. In addition to Dr. Senthil Murugan, key attendees included IIC President Dr. P. Vijay Kumar, Head of C-i²RE Dr. K. Rajanarendar Reddy, various department heads, deans, and about 110 students who participated in the technical sessions.
