Inaugural Ceremony of Two-Week FDP on Data Structures at KITS

 

*Inaugural Ceremony of Two-Week FDP on Data Structures Through C Successfully Conducted by the CSE-NETWORKS Department held at KITS Warangal*

The Department of  Computer Science and Engineering (Networks)-CSN Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science successfully organized Inaugural Ceremony of A two-week offline Faculty Development Program (FDP) on "Data Structures Through C" held at CISCO Lab KITS Warangal campus said by the the Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy. It is to be organised from 2nd Jan 2025 to 11th Jan 2025. The objective of the program was designed to enhance the teaching methodologies and subject knowledge of faculty members of non computer Science streams, equipping them with cutting-edge techniques to effectively teach one of the foundational topics in computer science and engineering.

The FDP was inaugurated by Dr. K Venu Madhav Dean Academic Affairs in association with Dr. V Shankar, Professor and Head, Department of CSN.  On this occasion Dr. K Venu Madhav highlighted the importance of continuously upgrading teaching skills in a fast-evolving technological landscape Data Structures(DS) form the backbone of computer science and software engineering, enabling efficient problem-solving and algorithm design. By emphasizing concepts through C programming, the FDP ensured that participants could effectively teach students the fundamentals of coding and computational thinking. 

According to the Dr. V Shankar, Professor and Head, this approach is crucial for students to excel in competitive exams, industry-standard certifications, and real-world programming challenges. The enhanced teaching strategies developed during the program are expected to significantly benefit students in acquiring core skills necessary for their academic and professional growth.

In this program FDP coordinators, Assistant professors of CSN, Dr. B Sridhar Moorthy and Dr. B.V Pranay Kumar, Dr. V. Chandrashekhar Rao, Dr. S. Venkatramulu, Dr. V. Swathy, All the deans, all the heads, faculty, Associate professor of chemistry &  PRO Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary and staff were present. 

On this occasion former Rajyasabha Member and KITSW Chairman, Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao, KITSW treasurer, P. Narayana Reddy and Husband former MLA & KITSW additional secretary Vodithala Sateesh Kumar have congratulated and appreciated the Department of CSN and their faculty for successful conduction of the Inaugural Ceremony of the FDP.
