Kits Warangal Staff Club Organizes Successful Rangoli Competition for Sankranti Festival

Warangal: The staff of Kits Warangal’s Staff Club successfully organized a Rangoli competition as part of the Sankranti festival celebrations.

On this occasion, former Rajya Sabha member and Chairman of Kits Warangal, Captain V. Lakshmi Kantha Rao, along with Kits Warangal Treasurer P. Narayan Reddy and former MLA of Husnabad constituency and Kits Additional Secretary V. Satish Kumar, congratulated the Kits Warangal staff club and faculty coordinators for the successful organization of the Rangoli competition program and extended their Sankranti greetings.



Principal Professor K. Ashok Reddy stated that the Staff Club, Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science Warangal (KITSW), organized the "Rangoli Competition" for the benefit of students and faculty. This was conducted on the occasion of the cultural festival Sankranti-2025 to enhance spirituality and critical thinking. It was held at the Administrative Block, Kits Warangal campus. He explained the importance of festivals. Sankranti is also associated with the birth and advent of Kalki, the final avatar of the Hindu god Vishnu. Sankranti is considered for spiritual practices and accordingly, people take a holy dip in rivers, especially the Ganges, Yamuna, Godavari, Krishna, and Kaveri.



Makar Sankranti is based on a deep understanding of cosmic and human geometry. It is famous for sesame sweets and kite flying. But this festival, which is the celebration of the winter solstice, has a lot more to it, like Bhogi and Kanuma.

Prabhakara Chari, and staff participated in the program.
