*550 Units of Blood donated to IRCS Hanumakonda by KITS Warangal Students in association with Lions Club Warangal said by the Senior member  Lions Club Warangal and KITSW treasurer Sri P. Narayana Reddy.*

The NSS Club, Student Activity Centre (SAC), Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science, Warangal (KITSW) is organized the "Mega Blood Donation Camp" in association with Indian Red Cross Society(IRCS), Lions Club Warangal  & HDFC bank Nakkalgutta held at auditorium KITS Warangal campus on 11th February, 2025 said by the Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy.  

The former Rajya Sabha Member and KITSW Chairman, Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao and  KITSW treasurer P. Narayana Reddy, Husnabad constituency former  MLA & KITSW Additional secretary, Vodithala Sateesh Kumar have.congratulated and appreciated the faculty, staff and SAC student executive team for donating blood. 

On this occasion the chief guest  IRCS Hanamkonda, chairman Dr. P. Vijaychander Reddy highlighted that any healthy person has 5 liters of blood in which one can donate blood 250-300ml.  The lifetime of RBC is 120 days. For every 120 days it is regenerated in our body. After donating the blood the amount of satisfaction is incomparable with any kind of donation.  A healthy person can easily give blood to a needy person 3 to 4 times per year.  By donating the blood they look younger and also enhance their dynamism. It leads to increased levels of critical thinking and creativity among the student community.  We have been maintaining a donor list regarding rare blood groups like B negative and O negative, etc for the benefit of society. Service to humanity is born among the Indians. 

He concluded that "Safe blood is safer for the recipient". In this Regard, "Prevention is better than Cure" in all the medical and health aspects.

On this occasion the  Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy highlighted the importance of donating blood and saving lives.  Our students have been giving more importance to social service to inculcate the social responsibility towards the safety of the people. Donating blood means a few minutes to you but it is a lifetime for someone else.

On this occasion Senior member  Lions Club Warangal and the KITSW treasurer Sri P. Narayana Reddy gave the presidential remarks.  He also stressed the Feeling of Saving Someone(FOSS) by donating the connecting tissue- blood for saving someone's life. 

 In this programme Governor, Lions club warangal, K. Venkata Reddy, HDFC Bank manager, Shivakumar, member lions club, Warangal, P Srinivasa Rao,  KITSW NSS programme officer & Associate Professor of Physics, Dr. Ch. Satish Chandra, Addl. PO. S. Bhargavi, KITSW Dean Student affairs, Prof. M. Srilatha, Associate Dean Student affairs, M. Narsimha Rao, KITSW  Dispensary team Dr. Sushmitha,  Dr. Thirupathi, medical supervisor V. Neelakantam, student representatives from NSS club, G. Manohar(GS) and event head, P. Sivamani, all the deans, all the HoDs, General Secretaries of various clubs, Associate professor of chemistry and PRO Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary,  600 students from  KITSW, actively took part in this event.
