Telangana Government Finalizes Ramzan 2025 Arrangements

Hyderabad, February 10, 2025 — In preparation for the holy month of Ramzan 2025, the Minorities Welfare Department of Telangana has conducted a comprehensive review meeting to ensure smooth arrangements for worshippers. The meeting was led by Special Secretary to the Government, Mr. Tafseer Iqubal, IPS, alongside Director of Minorities Welfare, Ms. Yasmeen Basha, IAS, and key officials from the department.

Officials from the District Minorities Welfare Office, Hyderabad, Deputy Director of Minorities Welfare, Assistant Commissioner, and Assistant Director of Minorities Welfare, along with the Superintendent of Macca Masjid, Charminar, and the Manager of Royal Mosque, Nampally, participated in the review session.

Following last year's successful arrangements, the government has confirmed that all necessary facilities will be provided to Rozedars (fasting individuals) and worshippers attending prayers, including Taraweeh sessions. A total of 2,250 kilograms of high-quality dates (Khajoor) will be distributed to Macca Masjid, Charminar, Royal Mosque, Nampally, and the Secretariat Mosque as per requirements outlined by the District Minorities Welfare Officer (DMWO), Hyderabad.

Additionally, the department has granted permission to organize Jalsa Youm-ul-Quran every Friday during Ramzan. Special arrangements for Taraweeh prayers covering the complete recitation of the Quran in three segments (dahas) will be held at Macca Masjid.

Strict instructions have been issued to the DMWO, Hyderabad, to ensure that worshippers face no inconveniences. Any emerging needs during Ramzan will be addressed as a top priority.

As part of the preparations, a team of officials, including the concerned MLA, Corporator, and other department representatives, will conduct an inspection visit to Macca Masjid on February 12, 2025.
