*Ph.D. Awarded to Sheshagiri Babu Jimmidi ECE Faculty KITS Warangal*
Sheshagiri Babu Jimmidi, Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science, Warangal (KITSW), has been awarded Ph.D. degree by the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTUH), Hyderabad. said by the principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy.
In a press note here on Wednesday, KITSW Principal Prof K Ashoka Reddy said that Sheshagiri Babu Jimmidi had submitted his PhD thesis titled “Artifact Suppression of EEG Signals using ARMA-Fast ICA ''. He did his research work under the supervision of Retd. Prof KVSVR Prasad, OUCE, Osmania University, Hyderabad.
“In order to diagnose the functioning of human brain properly one has to remove the unwanted signals that are contaminated the original EEG Signals using latest techniques and methods. The Principal continued, "He also published technical papers in the reputed national, international journals and conferences".
In this regard, the Former Rajya Sabha Member and KITSW Chairman Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao, Treasurer, P. Narayana Reddy & Husnabad constituency former MLA & KITSW Additional secretary, Vodithala Sateesh Kumar & the principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy have congratulated him for doing more applicable society needed research in the field of Biomedical signal processing.
In this regard Dean, Academic affairs, Prof. K Venumadhav, Associate Professor & Head, ECED, Dr. V.Venkateshwar Reddy , Registrar, Prof. M. Komal Reddy, all the deans, all the heads, faculty, staff and Head, PSD, Associate Professor of Chemistry, & PRO Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary congratulated him on being awarded a Ph.D. degree at JNTUH, Hyderabad.
