*Inaugural Ceremony of One-Week FDP on Innovation and Entrepreneurship  held at KITS Warangal*


*This FDP was sponsored by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MoE’s MIC) Govt. of India Said by the Principal Prof K Ashoka Reddy*


Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science, Warangal (KITSW), has been organising a 5-day Faculty Development Program (FDP) on Innovation & Entrepreneurship during  March 10-15, 2025 said by the principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy. It was inaugurated by the chief guest Mr. Ismail Akbani, CEO of AIC Mahindra, Hyderabad on March 10, 2025 at Silver Jubilee seminar hall KITSW campus. It was sponsored by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell (MoE’s MIC) Govt. of India.  


On this occasion the chief guest, CEO of Atal Incubation Centre (AIC) Mahindra, Hyderabad Mr. Ismail Akbani highlighted that the FDP objectives to equip faculty members with the latest pedagogical approaches, research insights, and practical applications in the fields of innovation and entrepreneurship. It is the technical platform to enhance their knowledge and teaching methodologies. They emphasized the importance of fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among educators to drive innovation and industry-academia collaboration.  



On this occasion the principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy gave the presidential remarks. The keynote address was delivered by Mr. Ismail Akbani, who provided valuable insights into the evolving start-up ecosystem, incubation strategies, and industry expectations from academia. His session was followed by an engaging session by Mr. Ganesh Iyer, who elaborated on entrepreneurial leadership and innovation-driven business models. The day concluded with an interactive workshop, where faculty members and students participated in hands-on activities, case studies, and collaborative discussions. The workshop provided a platform for knowledge exchange, networking, and the exploration of innovative teaching methodologies.  


According to the Professor of Mechanical engineering department, Professor,  Dr. K. Raja Narendra Reddy, Head of Centre for innovation, incubation, and Research in Entrepreneurship (Ci2RE), the KITSW remains committed to fostering innovation, research, and entrepreneurship by inculcating i2RE culture among the student community. This FDP is expected to empower participants and students with the tools and knowledge necessary to mentor future innovators and entrepreneurs, thereby strengthening India’s start-up and innovation landscape.


On this occasion former Rajyasabha MP and KITSW Chairman, Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao, KITSW treasurer, Shri. P. Narayana Reddy and Husband former MLA & KITSW additional secretary Vodithala Satish Kumar have congratulated and appreciated the Center for  and their faculty for successful conduction of the Inaugural Ceremony of the FDP.


In this program  FDP Coordinator, Head, Ci2RE and Professor of MED, Dr. K. Raja Narendra Reddy, and  FDP Co-Coordinator and assistant Professor of ECE, Dr. V. Raju Reddy,  Associate professor of chemistry & PRO, Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary, all the faculty, staff and 60 faculty participants from various institutions across the country were present.
