TSPSC Clarifies Group 1 Mains Evaluation Process Amid Concerns
Hyderabad, March 13, 2025: The Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC) has issued a clarification regarding the evaluation process of the Group 1 Mains examination, following concerns raised by some individuals and organizations. The commission emphasized that the valuation was conducted fairly and transparently, countering misinformation circulating on social media.
The Group 1 Mains examination was held between October 21 and October 27, 2024, within the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) jurisdiction. The evaluation of answer scripts began on November 1, 2024, and was completed by January 31, 2025.
Evaluation Process and Measures Taken
TSPSC outlined the steps taken to ensure impartial evaluation:
- Confidentiality: The answer scripts were divided into three sections, with candidate details separated before evaluation to maintain anonymity.
- Double Evaluation: Every script was assessed by two independent evaluators. The first evaluator’s marks were removed before the second evaluation.
- Expert Committee Oversight: Senior professors from reputed universities, many of whom have experience with Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) exams, supervised the evaluation.
- Transparency Measures: The finalized marks underwent an additional review before being published in candidates' logins.
A total of 201 evaluators participated in assessing various subjects, ensuring a thorough evaluation process.
