Rangareddy: “The development of Future City is possible only if all of us work together,” said Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy while addressing a gathering after laying the foundation stone for the Future City Police Commissionerate at Meer Khanpet in Rangareddy district.
The Chief Minister said that several people had approached him requesting that their villages be included in the Future City limits. He directed local leaders to conduct Gram Sabhas and pass resolutions to facilitate inclusion of such villages under the Commissionerate.
He stated that the government aims to develop Future City on par with global cities like Singapore, Tokyo and New York City. He also announced that the Future City Development Corporation office will be launched by June 2, from where reviews will be conducted and investments invited.
Earlier, the Chief Minister laid the foundation stone for the Future City Police Commissionerate building and inaugurated several key facilities, including the Malkajgiri Commissionerate building, OCTOPUS Administrative Block, and Quthbullapur DCP office. He also laid the foundation for the Gachibowli Traffic Police Station.
Referring to infrastructure progress, he recalled that many had doubts when the Outer Ring Road Hyderabad was proposed, but today the 160.5-km project stands as a major achievement.
Assuring support to affected farmers, he said the government will ensure that no one suffers losses due to development. He added that Minister Sridhar Babu will be available to resolve public issues and instructed officials to adopt a humane approach towards the poor.
The Chief Minister said that with public cooperation, Future City can emerge as a globally competitive destination attracting investors from across the world.
He also highlighted that three bullet train corridors have been allocated to the state, connecting Bengaluru–Hyderabad, Shamshabad–Pune, and Shamshabad–Amaravati–Chennai.
Stating that Rangareddy district is set for major transformation, he urged people to support development efforts and assured that resolving public concerns is his responsibility. He criticized those opposing development, saying such voices will not slow progress.
He also appealed to Maoists still in forests to surrender and join mainstream society, assuring government support for their rehabilitation and well-being.
