Grand Alumni Ruby Reunion of KITS Warangal Second Batch Held


Warangal, December 13, 2025:
The Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science (KITS), Warangal, witnessed a grand celebration with the Alumni Ruby Reunion (40 Years) of its Second Batch (1981–85), held on Saturday at the Auditorium (NLR Shed) on the KITS campus.
The event was organized under the guidance of Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy, who informed that the reunion marked four decades of academic and professional excellence of the 1981–85 batch.
The celebrations were formally inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Prof. M. Prabhakar, Retired Professor, Department of Civil Engineering and former Principal of KITSW. The ceremony was graced by Guest of Honour C. Sridhar Reddy, President, KITSW Alumni Association (National Executive Council), along with eminent dignitaries including Prof. C.B. Kameswara Rao, Prof. M. Sanjeeva Reddy, Special Guest Prof. Katherashala Ravi, former Principal of BNCOE, Pusad, and Chairman of KITSW and former Rajya Sabha MP, Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao. The dignitaries and senior faculty members lit the ceremonial lamp to mark the beginning of the event.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. M. Prabhakar expressed pride and privilege in being part of the milestone celebration. He highlighted the strong bond among KITSW alumni across the globe and noted that their unity and cooperation continue to benefit future generations. He urged students and alumni to uphold the institution’s legacy with integrity, professionalism, and social responsibility.
Guest of Honour C. Sridhar Reddy emphasized the importance of quality, quantity, and regularity in education and industry. He explained the various initiatives undertaken by KITSWAA, including seminars, workshops, internships, industrial visits, laboratory modernization, and campus placement training programs. He noted that over 23,000 alumni have registered with KITSWAA over the last 45 years and appreciated the management and faculty for the institute’s sustained growth. He also advised students to maintain self-esteem and lifelong friendships.
Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy stated that KITSW alumni continue to contribute to society by imparting knowledge, practical skills, and ethical values. He encouraged students to become responsible citizens first and then develop professional competence, leadership, and character.
Delivering the presidential address, Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao spoke on the latest technological developments and stressed the need for institutions and students to adapt to emerging trends. He reaffirmed KITSW’s commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and alumni engagement, expressing confidence in the institute’s continued growth as a center of excellence.
The program was attended by several eminent personalities, including Dr. G. Madhusudan Reddy, former Director, DMRL Hyderabad; senior engineers and scientists from India and abroad; Registrar Prof. M. Komal Reddy; Administrative Officer Prof. P. Ramesh Reddy; Dr. M. Srikanth, Head of the Civil Engineering Department; Dr. O. Anjaneyulu, faculty coordinator; over 120 alumni from across the globe; faculty members, staff, and PRO Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary.
