The Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science, Warangal (KITSW) inaugurated its Student Activity Center (SAC) with a new executive student body for the academic year 2025-26 at the NLR shed (Auditorium) on the campus.
The inauguration was held with lamp lighting.
Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy announced the formation of the new SAC executive body. He stated that students should acquire required skill sets with practical exposure and startup culture by participating in extracurricular and co-curricular activities. He said these activities help in developing problem-solving abilities, leadership skills, and lateral thinking. He congratulated the new SAC student team, which includes general secretaries, joint secretaries, and executive members.
Former Rajya Sabha Member and KITSW Chairman Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao, Treasurer P. Narayana Reddy, and Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy conveyed their best wishes to the new SAC executive body.
Prof. M. Sreelatha, Dean of Student Affairs, said SAC provides a platform for students to showcase their technical knowledge, human values, and ethical practices. She encouraged students to take up interdisciplinary projects, focus on startup culture, and develop innovative ideas for real-world and societal needs.
SAC consists of nine clubs: Music, Dance and Fine Arts (MDF), Photography and Media Club (PMC), Humanity Club, NCC Club, NSS Club, Sports & Games Club, Literary Club, Technical Club, and Disciplinary Club (DISCO).
On this occasion, Principal and SAC team facilitated Associate Dean of Student Affairs and Head of EEED, Dr. M. Narsimha Rao, for his service to the MDF Club.
Faculty in-charges for various clubs include: Dr. CH. Sateesh Chandra (NSS), Capt. Dr. M. Ranadheer Kumar (NCC), Sri. S. Ramesh (Literary), Dr. C. Srinivas Rao (Humanity), Dr. M. Srinivas Reddy (Sports & Games), Dr. B. Vijay Kumar (Technical), and Dr. P. Nagarjuna Reddy (Disciplinary). Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary (Associate Professor of Chemistry & PRO) supervised PMC.
Student presidents include: N. Samitha (MDF), G. Sai Sumanth (PMC), P. Vaishnavi Reddy (Humanity), T. Sai Charan (NCC), N. Shiva Deepak (NSS), T. Karthik & K. Vishal Aditya (Sports & Games), G. Sarayu (DISCO), K. Shahikanth (Technical), and P. Sriteja (Literary).
Over 450 students, deans, heads of departments, and coordinators participated actively in the event.
