KITS Warangal Hosts Technical Seminar on Photography Skills and “PHOTOEXHIBITION-2K25”

The Photography & Media Club (PMC) of the Student Activity Center (SAC), Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science, Warangal (KITSW), organized a Technical Seminar on Photography Skills along with PHOTOEXHIBITION-2K25 on Thursday as part of its Self-Empowerment Activity (SEA) and Self-Accomplishment Activities (SAA).
The event, held at the Civil Seminar Hall on the KITSW campus, was inaugurated by the chief guest Nageshwar Rao Indaram, Founder and President of the Orugallu Wildlife Society (OWLS), Warangal. He engaged in an interactive session with B.Tech photography students, sharing insights into the art and science of photography.
Speaking on the occasion, Sri Nageshwar Rao said photography is “an art, a science, and a technique of crafting powerful images by capturing light on a sensitive medium.” He emphasized key aspects such as technical expertise, artistic vision, editing skills, and major photography genres including wildlife, nature, conservation, and portrait photography. He also explained fundamentals like the rule of thirds, symmetry, brightness, and composition patterns that enhance visual appeal.
Demonstrating photography techniques, he encouraged students to explore creativity using the camera as their “third eye” to tell compelling stories.
KITSW Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy, in his presidential remarks, praised the enthusiastic participation of students and highlighted the importance of communication skills and positive attitude in shaping a student’s career. He reiterated the institute’s commitment to nurturing young minds and inspiring them to innovate.
The event saw active participation from Dean Academic Affairs Prof. K. Venumadhav, Head of Physical Sciences Dr. H. Ramesh Babu, SEA–SAA Coordinator Dr. P. Nagarjuna Reddy, PMC Faculty In-charge and PRO Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary, all deans, PMC student representatives, anchors Vyshla and Sahasra, and a team of around 60 students who ensured the program’s success.
