Warangal, Sept 24: Rangisetty Nirmala Devi, Associate Professor in the Department of Electronics Communication and Instrumentation Engineering (ECIE) at Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science, Warangal (KITSW), has been awarded a Ph.D. degree by JNTU, Hyderabad, announced Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy.
According to a press release, Prof. Ashoka Reddy informed that R. Nirmala Devi submitted her Ph.D. thesis titled “Analysis and Performance of Blind Equalization and Multiuser Detection Systems in Dispersive CDMA Channels.” She carried out her research under the supervision of Prof. K. Kishan Rao, Retired Principal, NIT (REC) Warangal, and Professor, Department of ECE.
Her research work involved the development of tensor-based signal processing and structured code design to improve DS-CDMA performance. The results showed improved convergence and code estimation accuracy. Future directions suggested in the work include extending tensor models to MIMO-OFDM and 6G UWB systems, designing adaptive context-aware codebooks, and implementing the models in FPGA or Software Defined Radio (SDR) platforms.
On this occasion, Former Rajya Sabha MP and KITSW Chairman Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao, Treasurer P. Narayana Reddy, Former MLA Husnabad and KITSW Additional Secretary Vodithala Satish Kumar, and Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy congratulated and appreciated her for conducting research in areas relevant to industry needs.
Registrar Prof. M. Komal Reddy, Head of ECIE Prof. K. Sivani, Administrative Officer Prof. P. Ramesh Reddy, all the deans, heads of departments, faculty, staff, and PRO Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary also congratulated her on being awarded the Ph.D. degree by JNTU Hyderabad.
