Efforts Underway to Establish Bharatha Natya Academy School in Warangal, Spearheaded by Eminent Chartered Accountant Tripuraneni Gopi Chand



In a bid to promote cultural heritage and artistic education in the historical city of Warangal, the Shivanandguru Cultural Trust, led by the distinguished Chartered Accountant and managing trustee Tripuraneni Gopi Chand, has announced plans to establish a Bharatha Natya Academy School. This initiative aims to nurture and preserve the rich tradition of Bharatha Natya, a classical Indian dance form, by providing comprehensive training to aspiring artists.


During the recent Ugadi celebrations, the Shivanandguru Cultural Trust recognized the exemplary contributions of three outstanding individuals with Ugadi Puraskars. Dr. Bandla Varaprasad, renowned for his selfless medical service in the interior tribal areas of Eturunagaram, was honored for his dedication to serving the community. Despite having opportunities abroad, Dr. Varaprasad chose to stay and serve his people, earning him immense respect and admiration.


Bompelly Sudheer Rao, a nationally acclaimed Bharatha Natya artist hailing from Warangal, was also felicitated for his remarkable achievements in promoting and preserving this ancient dance form. Emphasizing the need for a dedicated Bharatha Natya Academy School, Tripuraneni Gopi Chand highlighted Sudheer Rao's pivotal role in training numerous students who have garnered national acclaim.



Another notable awardee, civil services topper Shakha Muri Sri Sai Ashrit, was lauded for his exceptional academic achievements and innovative approach to civil services preparation. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, Sai Ashrit demonstrated resilience by utilizing online resources to pursue his studies effectively. Gopi Chand encouraged Sai Ashrit to mentor and inspire the youth of Warangal who aspire to excel in civil services examinations.


The event also featured Panchanga Sravanam, a traditional practice of forecasting auspicious timings and events for the upcoming year. Gundluri Rajashekhara Varma, renowned for his expertise in Panchangam prediction, was honored by the trust members for his invaluable contribution to preserving cultural traditions.
