A Day to Remember: Alumni Reunion at KITS Warangal

The Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science, Warangal (KITSW) hosted a lively and nostalgic "Alumni Meet and Silver Jubilee Reunion" for the Class of 1999. The event took place on June 22, 2024, at the KITS Warangal Auditorium, also known as NLR Shed. Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy kicked off the event, marking a milestone celebration for the institution.

 Inauguration and Highlights

The event was inaugurated by Dayanand Reddy Anugu, Managing Director of Vasantha Tools & Crafts Pvt. Ltd., and the Founder President of KITSWAA-National Executive Council, who lit the ceremonial lamp. The gathering included distinguished guests such as former MP Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao, KITSW Treasurer P. Narayana Reddy, and other key members of the KITSW management.

 Messages and Reflections

 Dayanand Reddy Anugu delivered an inspiring speech, emphasizing the importance of quality, skill, and ethical business practices. He highlighted his own journey and the significance of entrepreneurship, encouraging young engineers to focus on excellence and integrity.

 Sridhar Nagulavancha, President of KITSWAA-National Executive Council, shared the association's efforts in supporting current students through seminars, workshops, and internships. He praised the institute's continuous growth and the role of alumni in shaping its future.

Principal’s Address and Achievements

Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy highlighted the institute's commitment to providing quality education, practical skills, and leadership development. He noted that 92 interactive technical sessions were conducted with the help of the alumni, benefiting both B.Tech and M.Tech students.

 Presidential Remarks and Alumni Contributions

Former MP Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao praised the strong alumni network and its contributions to the institute. He proudly noted that many alumni have become CEOs, entrepreneurs, and world-class engineers. The event saw 120 alumni from the Class of 1999 and 200 alumni from around the world, including the USA, Australia, Singapore, and Canada.

The alumni have significantly contributed to the institute, including a donation of Rs. 2 crores to establish a control system lab in the ECI department.

Honoring the Teachers

The Silver Jubilee batch honored their teachers, including Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy, Prof. P. Niranjan Reddy, and other senior faculty members, with shawls and mementos.

 Interactive and Inclusive Celebration

The event also featured speeches from notable alumni like Sunil Kumar (CE), Bheemlal (EIE), and Pradhyumna (EEE), who spoke about their efforts to bridge the gap between academia and industry. 

KITSW Treasurer P. Narayana Reddy highlighted the interactive KITSWAA website and the various opportunities for alumni to support the institute.

The celebration was attended by over 300 alumni, faculty, staff, and management members, making it a truly memorable and impactful event for all involved.
