AICTE Indovation Centre Technology Transfer Meetup at KITS Warangal


Warangal, August 9, 2024:The Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science (KITS) Warangal, in collaboration with the Innovation Cell of the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India, hosted the "AICTE Indovation Centre Technology Transfer Meetup" at the Silver Jubilee Seminar Hall on August 9, 2024. The event was organized by the Centre for Innovation Incubation Research and Entrepreneurship (C-I2RE) and the Institutions Innovation Council (IIC) of KITS Warangal.



The event was inaugurated by Dr. Inja Naga Bheema Lingeswar Reddy, Manager-IP and Technology Transfer at AICTE-SCR, along with Ms. Sakuntala Kasaragadda, CEO of Hyderabad Founder Lab, and Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy, Principal of KITS Warangal.


During his address, Dr. Reddy emphasized the importance of implementing outcome-based, skill-oriented education to benefit students in today's rapidly evolving technological landscape. He praised KITS Warangal for fostering innovation and out-of-the-box thinking among its students and urged faculty and students to focus on key areas such as smart automation, health tech, agri-food tech, rural development, smart education, and clean and green technologies. He also highlighted the need for faculty to be trained in cutting-edge technologies to address real-world problems effectively.


Ms. Kasaragadda spoke on the qualities of effective leadership, stressing the importance of self-confidence, responsibility, energy, creative thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.


Prof. Ashoka Reddy, in his presidential remarks, reiterated the objectives of C-I2RE, which include promoting a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship through technical workshops, conferences, hackathons, and interactive sessions with successful entrepreneurs.


The event was attended by key figures including Prof. K. Raja Narender Reddy, Head of C-I2RE, Prof. S. Narsimha Reddy, Head of the Department of CSM, Dr. A Devaraju, MSME Coordinator, Dr. V. Raju Reddy, AICTE Ideal Lab Co-coordinator, Dr. P. Vijay Kumar, IIC President, as well as student representatives and over 50 faculty members from various institutions across South India.


Rajya Sabha MP and KITS Warangal Secretary and Correspondent Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao, KITS Warangal Treasurer P. Narayana Reddy, and Former MLA and KITS Warangal Additional Secretary Shri Vodithala Sateesh Kumar extended their congratulations to the IIC, C-I2RE, and the faculty for the successful execution of the event.
