Valedictory of Warangal District Table Tennis Tournament-2024 for boys, Girls, Men & Women held at Indore Stadium, KITS WARANGAL Campus


Today, the Valedictory of Warangal District Table Tennis Tournament-2024 organized by the Warangal  District Table Tennis Association(WDTTA) on 15th September, 2024 at Indore stadium, Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science Warangal(KITSW) said by the Principal, Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy. 


On this occasion the chief guest, Warangal police commissionerate, Task Force ACP. A. Madhusudhan has highlighted the history of TT games: In the late 19th century, table tennis made its appearance for the first time in England. Taking inspiration from lawn tennis, the first players belonged to middle-class Victorian society. The first game would have been played using a champagne cork as a ball, cigar boxes as bats and books for the net. A sound mind in a sound body led by a healthy human.  


He concluded that playing table tennis one can achieve mental acuity, reflexes, balance, leg, arm, and core strength, and aerobic fitness. Moreover, it provides a social outlet that may benefit mental as well as physical health, he added.



According to the Principal, Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy,  during these two days the table tennis competitions were conducted for the six categories such as  Under-11, U-13, U-15, U-17, U-19 for girls & boys and for the men & women. The prizes were distributed for the winners. He advised that enthusiastic and dynamic participation is very important for the protection of your health for a longer period. 


In this program WDTTA president and KITSW Management member, Sri Akarapu Harish, the guest of honors, KITSW administrative officer & State Vice president, Telangana Badminton Association,  Prof. Pingili Ramesh Reddy and  WDTTA Vice president, Sunil Kumar, WDTTA General Secretary and Head, department of physical education,  Dr. M. Srinivas Reddy, WDTTA Joint secretary, Ajmeera Jay Singh,  executive members, K.Venkataswamy, S. Mahesh, faculty, staff, 100 above players and  Associate professor of Chemistry & PRO Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary were present.
