Humanity Club Organizes SunSafe Initiative at KITS Warangal

Warangal, March 21, 2025: The Humanity Club of the Student Activity Center (SAC) at Kakatiya Institute of Technology and Science (KITS), Warangal, organized the SunSafe Initiative to help those in need during the summer. Volunteers distributed water bottles and summer caps to daily wage workers, roadside laborers, and homeless individuals across Warangal, Hanamkonda, and Kazipet.

The initiative was carried out under the guidance of Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy, Principal of KITS Warangal, Dr. M. Sreelatha, Dean of Student Affairs,  M. Narasimha Rao, Associate Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. G. Srinivasa Rao, Faculty In-charge of the Humanity Club, and Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary, Associate Professor of Chemistry and PRO. Their support helped ensure the smooth execution of the event.



The Humanity Club team, led by Md. Asif Abubakar, General Secretary, along with joint secretaries B. Eshwar Dattu (PRO), T. Sanjana, V. Hrishitaa, and A. Abhicharan, coordinated the distribution efforts. Volunteers actively reached out to those exposed to extreme heat, providing basic relief measures to protect them from high temperatures.

The event was made possible with the sponsorship of Sri Krishna Agencies, Hanamkonda, which provided essential resources. The initiative reinforced the club’s commitment to social service, leaving a positive impact on both the volunteers and the beneficiaries.
