*INAUGURAL CEREMONY OF KITS MUN 2025  HELD AT SILVER JUBILEE SEMINAR HALL,  KITS WARANGAL CAMPUS*

*This event is headed by Secretary Generals-Maryam Yasmeen and Rithvika Priya, Director General - Md. Zohaib*.  

The KITS Model United Nations 7.O (KITS MUN 2025) is being organized by the Literary club, Student Activity Centre(SAC), Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science Warangal (KITSW), a three day academic simulation of the United Nations where students play the role of delegates from different countries and attempt to solve real world issues along with national and state level  policies and perspectives of their assigned country said by the Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy.. 


It was inaugurated by the  Dean student affairs, Prof. M. Sreelatha in association with associate dean, M. Narsimha Rao, Faculty in-charges, Literary club, Dr. W. Grace Shanthi & Dr. D. Vidyanath, by lighting the lamp. It is being conducted from 27th to 29th March, 2025 at various venues of silver jubilee seminar hall, Civil Seminar hall and Auditorium KITS Warangal campus.



In this regard the former RS MP and KITSW Governing Body Chairman, Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao,  Treasurer P. Narayana Reddy and Husnabad constituency former MLA & KITSW Additional secretary Vodithala Sateesh Kumar have appreciated the Literary Club-SAC and team of student representatives for the successful conduction of the inaugural ceremony.


On this occasion the guest, the Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy said that the students were tasked with doing in-depth research on the global unity & sustainable Diplomacy. This type of research went beyond the typical student level and shows that it is prepared for the rigor of high-level classes, he added. 


He also highlighted that during the Inaugural of KITS MUN there were 3 MUN committees which included the General Assembly, Human Rights Council(HRC) and Telangana Assembly. The committees showed the delegates how to translate their research into quality academic-style writing. In each committee, the delegates were also tasked with drafting resolutions or directives alongside their peers, consistently and developing a strong grasp of their own writing style. Public speaking comes naturally with the MUN territory, and in today’s MUN committee, students have numerous opportunities to practice and refine their public speaking & debate abilities. 


According to the Dean student affairs, Prof. M. Sreelatha, Through this platform, students get to learn strategies for structuring speeches, and gain insights into stylistic elements of speech delivery which translates to confidence in their unique voice. Beyond the key research, writing, and public speaking skill sets the students at the institute got to demonstrate through MUN participation, this is an absolute gain to improve their critical professional skills along their Model UN journey, giving them a leg-up and to thrive in the further career path and in their college interviews and tailor their application, boosting their academic resume. 


On this occasion Faculty in-charge, Literary club, Dr. W. Grace Shanthi highlighted that there were 200 participants registered from several colleges and schools. She also stressed that "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world". During KITS MUN as a student participant you step into roles of diplomats , legislators and representatives, remember that your ideas, policies and debates have the power to create real-world impact.

 

In this event,  Dean Student affairs Prof. M. Sreelatha , Associate Dean Student Affairs Sri. M. Narsimha Rao, Faculty in-charges, Literary club,  Dr. W. Grace Shanthi & Dr. D. Vidyanath , Associate professor of  Chemistry, Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary, M. Kiril Pravarsh and team, all the deans, all the Heads, faculty, staff and 260 above students were present.
