KITS MUN 7.0 Concludes Successfully at KITS Warangal
Warangal, March 29, 2025 – The valedictory ceremony of the Model United Nations 7.0 (KITS MUN 2025) was successfully held at the Silver Jubilee Seminar Hall, Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science Warangal (KITSW). Organized by the Literary Club under the Student Activity Center (SAC), this three-day academic simulation of the United Nations provided students with a platform to engage in global diplomacy and problem-solving.
Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy highlighted that the event aimed to cultivate leadership, communication, and critical thinking skills among students. Delegates representing various countries deliberated on pressing international issues while incorporating national and state perspectives into their discussions. The sessions were held from March 27 to 29, 2025, across multiple venues, including the Civil Seminar Hall and the KITS Warangal Auditorium.
The event received accolades from notable dignitaries, including former Rajya Sabha Member and KITSW Governing Body Chairman Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao, Treasurer P. Narayana Reddy, and former Husnabad MLA & KITSW Additional Secretary Vodithala Sateesh Kumar. They commended the Literary Club-SAC and the student organizers for their efforts in making the event a grand success.
The organizing team included Secretary Generals Maryam Yasmeen and Rithvika Priya, Director General Md. Zohaib, Deputy Secretary General M. Shouryan, and Vice Chairs for various committees—T. Sanjana (HRC), R. Rishitha Reddy (Telangana Assembly), Asif Abubakar (UNGA), T. Sai Sathvika (HRC), and Ashish Reddy (TA). The International Press (IP) team was led by IP Head M. Kiril Pravarsh, IP Chief G. Rahul, and Director of IP S. Advik Patel. M. Saketh served as USG Quality Control, while Hansika Reddy and Kashif anchored the event.
The closing ceremony witnessed the participation of heads of various departments, deans, faculty members, and approximately 200 student delegates. Dean of Student Affairs Prof. M. Sreelatha, Associate Dean of Student Affairs M. Narsimha Rao, and faculty in-charges Dr. W. Grace Shanthi and Dr. D. Vidyanath played key roles in coordinating the event. Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary, Associate Professor of Chemistry and PRO, also contributed to the event’s success.
KITS MUN 7.0 has once again proven to be a significant platform for students to hone their diplomatic and negotiation skills while addressing global challenges.
