Hyderabad Metro Managing Director NVS Reddy announced that the metro train services will be extended starting April 1. The trains will operate until 11:45 PM, a significant extension from the current operating time of 11:00 PM. According to the new schedule, metro trains will be available from Monday to Friday during the extended hours. On Sundays, the first train will begin its services from terminal stations at 7:00 AM.
In addition to the schedule change, the metro has also extended the student offer for another year. The offer allows students to travel 30 trips with the cost of 20 trips. However, the Super Saver Holiday offer will end on March 31, and the off-peak discount for smart cards will also conclude by the same date.
During the announcement, NVS Reddy also unveiled a new mobile app, "T-Savari," aimed at enhancing the convenience of metro passengers. The app is part of the metro’s broader effort to improve passenger facilities and services with a focus on digital transformation and service expansion.
Reddy emphasized that Hyderabad Metro is not just a basic infrastructure project but also a catalyst for urban transformation and social development. He noted that initiatives like Metro Fest, Metro Medley, and Art Fest are part of their effort to integrate cultural events into the public transport system, playing a crucial role in reshaping public transportation.
KVBR Reddy, Managing Director of L&T MRH, shared that they believe urban travel is a combination of physical and digital integration. The launch of the T-Savari app and the metro website marks a significant step towards making Hyderabad Metro a digitally advanced transportation system.
