Grand Valedictory of Warangal District Badminton Tournament-2025 for Boys, Girls, Men and Women held at Indoor Stadium, KITS Warangal
The Grand valedictory of Warangal District Badminton Association (WDBA) affiliated to Badminton Association of Telangana (BAT) has been organising “Warangal District Badminton Tournament for Boys, Girls, Men and Women” at Auditorium, Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science (KITS) Warangal announced by the Vice president BAT, WDBA General Secretary and Administrative officer, KITSW Prof. Pingili. Ramesh Reddy. The Husnabad constituency former MLA & KITSW Additional secretary Vodithala Satish Kumar has attended as the chief guest for the valedictory event.
The ceremony saw the distribution of trophies and certificates to the winners in various categories, including men’s singles, women’s singles, men’s doubles, women’s doubles, and mixed doubles. The tournament was a testament to the growing passion for badminton in the region and the commitment of the local authorities to promoting sports and fitness.
On this occasion the chief guest, Husnabad constituency former MLA & KITSW Additional secretary Vodithala Satish Kumar highlighted that youth must have passion to play sports and games as daily activities to protect their health. It should be the best practice among the children. It leads to a sound body in a sound mind. The Chief Guest congratulated the winners and praised the efforts of the organizers in conducting a successful tournament. He emphasized the importance of sports in fostering unity, discipline, and physical well-being among the youth and assured all the help from Warangal Club in promoting Badminton.

According to the guest of honour KITS Warangal Principal Prof. K Ashoka Reddy, the Badminton Association is providing all the possible facilities to the budding players to showcase their talent for the last two decades. Winning and losing is not important but active participation is very important. Youth has to attract the games and play fields instead of bad practices like addiction to mobiles, drugs and alcoholic products. A sound mind in a sound body, he concluded.
On this occasion the President WDBA Dr. S. Ramesh kumar gave the presidential remarks. Tournament has provided a platform for the talented players of the region to showcase their skills and compete at the highest level. Keep the warangal flag high by your dynamic performance at state and higher level competitive tournaments. He also congratulated the winners and runners and also winners of the national and international competitions through KITS badminton academy.
On this occasion Vice president BAT, WDBA General Secretary and Administrative Officer, KITS Warangal Prof. P. Ramesh Reddy stressed that without practice nothing will be achieved by a player. Continuous efforts with disciplined hard work is essential for grand success. A total of 170 players actively participated in the tournament across the combined Warangal district. The winners will be sent to state level competitions.
In this program, WDBA General Secretary, Dr. P. Ramesh Reddy, WDBA treasurer, D. Nagakishan, WDBA Vice president, Dr. N. Mohan Rao, KITSW, Head, Physical Education, Dr. M. Srinivas Reddy, G. Kishore, Bhaskar, Krishnaveni, Baby Shailaja, Shyam, Associate professor of Chemistry & PRO, Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary, 250 players and their parents, as well as a large number of sports enthusiasts and spectators were present.
