Warangal, July 1, 2024: The Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Networks) at Kakatiya Institute of Technology & Science (KITS), Warangal, in collaboration with the E & ICT Academy, NIT Warangal, has launched a two-week Faculty Development Program (FDP) focused on "Cyber Security and Computer Forensics." The program is being held at the Cloud Computing Lab, Block-7, on the KITS Warangal campus, from July 1 to July 10, 2024.


Principal Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy inaugurated the event, emphasizing the significance of this FDP in enhancing knowledge about the latest developments in cyber security and computer forensics. Dr. U. Venkanna, the chief guest and keynote speaker from the Department of CSE, NIT Warangal, highlighted the program's aim to address critical topics such as cyber security, network security measures, vulnerability assessment, penetration testing, cloud security, malware analysis, and cyber forensics.


Prominent figures, including Former Rajya Sabha MP and KITSW Chairman Capt. V. Lakshmikantha Rao, Treasurer Sir P. Narayana Reddy, and Husnabad constituency Former MLA & KITSW Additional Secretary Vodithala Sateesh Kumar, congratulated the department and Dr. Swathy Vodithala, Associate Professor, for organizing this advanced technology program.


Prof. K. Ashoka Reddy delivered the presidential remarks, underscoring the importance of this technical platform in updating the knowledge and skills of the teaching community in cyber security and computer technologies. He stressed that a teacher's holistic development in the latest technological domains is crucial.


The event saw the presence of Dean Academics Prof. K. Venumadhav, faculty coordinators Prof. R. Padmavathy, Dr. Swathy Vodithala, department heads Prof. V. Shankar and Dr. V. Chandrashakher Rao, and Head of PSD & PRO Dr. D. Prabhakara Chary. Over 60 engineering faculty and staff members attended the program.
